Share Your Story

We want to hear your story. If you have faced discrimination or unfair treatment as a migrant worker in Taiwan, your experience can help us advocate for better protections and raise awareness about the human rights violations affecting migrant workers.

Here’s what to include when sharing your story:

    1. Your Experience: Describe what happened in detail. Include where you were working, when the incident occurred, and what specifically you experienced. Were you subject to unfair treatment due to your national origin, or faced unequal labor practices compared to other workers?
    2. Workplace Conditions: Were you forced into unfair working conditions such as excessive hours, unpaid wages, or restricted freedom of movement? Were you part of the brokerage system? Did your employer or broker withhold your passport or charge exorbitant fees?
    3. Discrimination: Were you treated differently than other foreign or local workers? Did you face restrictions in your movement, such as lockdown measures, that were only imposed on migrant workers? Were you excluded from legal protections under Taiwan’s Labor Standards Act?
    4. Personal Impact: How did this treatment affect you emotionally, financially, or physically? Share how this experience impacted your life, including your ability to work, access services, or live freely.
    5. Optional Information: You can choose to share your name or remain anonymous. If you prefer your name to be changed for privacy reasons, please let us know.

You can submit your story through our Report an Issue page, and you have the option to remain anonymous. Please specify if we can use your real name or if you’d like us to protect your identity by changing your name.

Together, we can shed light on the discrimination faced by migrant workers in Taiwan and push for reforms to ensure fair treatment and adherence to international human rights standards. Your voice matters—let it be heard.
